About the Founder
My name is Moses Teh, and I am the founder of Abound Grace Bereavement Services.
This work is not just my profession – it is my ministry, my calling, and my honor.
I began my journey of faith 35 years ago, as a beloved Christ follower, and have held fast to God’s purpose and promises ever since. About 15 years ago, I was led into the funeral industry here in Singapore. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding families through all types of funeral rites – from traditional Chinese ceremonies including Buddhist, Taoist to Christian, Catholic, Soka, and Free Thinker services.
Though Christianity is my personal faith, I approach all rituals and customs with an open mind, humility, and deep respect. This openness allows me to explain, guide, and help families navigate religious and cultural practices with grace and understanding – especially in their most vulnerable moments.
As I served more families, what began as a role became a passion… and then, a mission. I realized that serving the bereaved is more than a job – it’s a sacred responsibility. It’s about walking with people through grief and helping them honor a life that mattered.
💛 A Personal Grief, A Deeper Understanding
Even after 13 years as a funeral director, I thought I could manage my emotions. But I was wrong.
At the age of 89, she sent me a voice message—singing “Happy Birthday” to me on WhatsApp. That simple, beautiful gesture broke me when she passed.
My wife and I sought grief and bereavement counseling, and through those sessions, we found healing, clarity, and growth.
That experience reminded me of something essential: grief is real, and so is the help we need to walk through it.
This is why I now place even greater emphasis on grief support in my ministry.
Because every person, no matter how strong or experienced, needs comfort and community.
